Wentworth suffered a second successive loss to start the 2017 Central West Districts Golf Association division one pennant on Sunday, going down in emphatic fashion to Mudgee.

Mudgee, now division one leaders and undeniable favourites to go back-to-back, smashed Wentworth 5-0 at Dubbo Golf Club.
It was the only pool A game on Sunday and although Mudgee has a game in hand, it leads the division on 2.8 points from Duntryleague (1.4), Dubbo (0.2) and Wentworth (0.1).
Wentworth also went down in divisions two, three and four, losing 3-2, 5-0 and 3-2 – respectively – to Wellington.
Ex-Services was also beaten by Mudgee, but not in division one of course. They lost in divisions three and four, 3-2 in both.
In pool B, Duntryleague took on Parkes in divisions two, three and four while its top grade had another bye.
Duntryleague lost all three matches, 4-1, 3-2 and 4-1 respectively.
