POLICE are investigating after four men allegedly broke into an Orange home in the middle of the night and threatened the female occupants with a knife.

At about 5.20am on Thursday two women were asleep at their home in Orchard Grove Road.
One of the women was disturbed from her sleep to find four men in her bedroom.
One of the men held a knife to the woman’s throat and demanded money, threatening to kill her if she didn’t comply.
The woman’s screams woke up another woman sleeping in the house, who was also confronted by the men when she exited her room to check what was happening.
The second woman was also threatened with the knife and directed to lie on the ground.
The men then went through the house’s, taking jewellery, cash, electronic equipment and other personal items.
Before leaving the property the men have threatened to return and kill the females if they contacted police.
Police attended the home and a crime scene was established.
Forensic service officers have examined the scene and Orange detectives are investigating the matter.
Police are appealing for community assistance in providing information to assist with the investigation.
