Orange man Tim Hansen in the middle of Hurricane Sandy
AS Hurricane Sandy takes hold of New York City on America's east coast, Orange man Tim Hansen is among millions of people who are bunkering down for the storm.
He queued early for food this morning before retreating to his Brooklyn apartment with friends to wait out the storm.
"We're right we have plenty of food and bottled water and a good bottle of red," he said.
"But you can't buy bread, milk or bottled water now for love nor money."
Mr Hanson is in the big apple studying music composition for his master's degree in the big apple.
