While a few thousand headed to Wade Park for Sunday night’s Beach Boys and Temptations concert it was not a closed shop.
Thanks to some handy prevailing winds the sound from the stage could be heard right across Orange.
Families from East Orange to North Orange, out on the Ophir Road and around the CBD were treated to a free night of classic 1960s American music.
People took to their backyards to soak up the sounds and enjoy a pleasant change to the record-breaking heat of Saturday.
And even when the weather got chilly the Beach Boys echoed inside houses.
There was the odd grump on local radio on Monday but the vibrations were good.
