The two sides finished equal atop the standings – Wanderers claimed first thanks to a superior net run rate – two points clear of third-finishing Waratahs, CYMS Fahys were a further two points back in fourth.
The two sides ensured their places in the decider with thumping wins over Waratahs and Orange City last weekend, respectively.
Wanderers, in particular, were extremely impressive.
The side pumped the Waratahs attack around to post 4-205, Gav Smith (83), Mark Wiegold (52 not out) and Nathan Gander (42) led the way.
It was Wanderers’ second consecutive 200 plus score in the shortest format after bludgeoning 4-252 the week before against Orange City, thanks to Nathan Gander’s ton (107) and Nathan Totten’s half-ton (61).
Of the demoralised Waratahs attack, Brendon Centofanti (2-53) took multiple scalps while Tony Jose (0-21) was the only bowler who went for less than six an over.
The sky blues mustered just 68 in reply, which is also all Orange City could produce against CYMS Bourkes.
The green and golds ran it down in less than 10 overs. In Saturday’s other game, Luke Kilkeary (41) led CYMS Bourkes to a six-wicket win over CYMS Fahys in the green and gold derby.
