Council invested $3.3 million into the building, which includes heated floors to keep mechanical fluids warm so helicopters are ready for service.
The hangar also has six bedrooms for paramedics and staff which operate the service.
Mayor John Davis said but the whole region would benefit with the retrieval service working across the Central West.
He said it was important for council to partner with government to support those services.
Toll Group will be the first tenant and will install extra equipment to operate the retrieval service on behalf of the state government.
