Organiser Benny Coghlan lost his brother Adric after he suffered mental disorders in 2015.
Mr Coghlan said that last year about 50 family members and friends gathered at the lake for a ceremony that involved writing messages on paper notes which were then attached to biodegradable balloons for release.
This year he is inviting the public to join in the event, known as Sky Notes, from midday and send their own messages of remembrance.
“I started it after my brother passed away in 2015,” he said.
“It is raising awareness of mental disorders.”
Mr Coghlan said the ceremony would last about two hours with notes and balloons provided at the lake.
