We’ve got plenty on at our complex for the kids next week. Our coach, Stuart Thompson, will be conducting another Holiday Coaching Clinic over three days, on Monday, January 16 though until Wednesday, January 18 from 9am-3pm at the special price of $150.
If parents feel that all the three full days may be a little too much for their littlies, then there are other options available.
Stuart is also offering half day sessions from 9am-noon at a cost of $30 per day or alternatively, kids can attend only one or two days, the choice is totally up to you. Lunch is also included, all the kids need to bring a water bottle, spending money for the canteen, sunscreen and hat.
Registration forms are available from the clubhouse in Warrendine Street or entries and enquiries can be made by phoning 6362 8020.
There is also something for the grown ups this month, with the running of the American Mixed Night Competition.
Held over the four nights in January, it’s proved so popular that we have decided to keep it going.
The night hits off at 7pm and every player is guaranteed four sets.
There are two more nights left of this competition, come and join in.
Next Wednesday, January 18, Carol Hartin and Kathy Penrose will be the two committee ladies on duty to do the draws.
Wednesday night’s matches resulted in a win for Josh Ristvej, with Dave Foran, Wayne Scott, Megan Neville and Ninhshong Cai not far behind.
Josh won a meat voucher to be spent at M and J Butchery in Moulder Street.
There has been good numbers at the Social tennis, for Sunday Mixed and Thursday Ladies.
All new players who are interested in coming along to play will be made very welcome.
The usual Wednesday Social is currently in recess until after the holidays.
Casual court hire bookings have been consistent during the holidays, with players making the most of the cooler temperatures during the late afternoons.
It is always advisable to phone the clubhouse in advance, to secure a court.
