Up to 2000 people are expected trackside at Towac Park on Saturday for the social event of the Orange racing calendar, the picnic meeting.

While the on-field focus will be on the six races there will be plenty of fun in the crowd.

Racing Orange executive officer Gavin Pilossof said the Give Me 5 For Kids Picnic Race Day was the most popular racing event in Orange.

He said up to 100 people would enter the fashions on the field event.

Categories include best dressed lady, best dressed gentleman, best hat and children’s sections.

“There will be jumping castles, face-painting, fairy floss and snow cones for the children plus for the adults plenty of cold drinks. And it’s all for a good cause with $6 of your entry going to Give Me 5 For Kids,” he said.
