Daniel Thomas Curran, 33, of Yellowbox Road, Manildra, was several tonnes over the allowed weight on a restricted road at Horsley Park.
Police had been stopped with another heavy vehicle on Chandos Road at Horsley Park when they saw Curran drive an Isuzu rigid heavy truck laden past a sign stating a mass limit of five tonnes.
The sign related to both Chandos Road and Trivet Street, which Curran also drove down.
In a statement, police could see the truck was over the five tonne limit and a check revealed the truck on its own weighed 11.86 tonnes and it was also carrying a load weighing between three and five tonnes.
His solicitor David King-Christopher said Curran asked for directions to make his delivery and was told to use that route.
Mr King-Christopher said the road appeared to suffer no damage.
