THE Lifeline book fair held in Orange last Saturday and Sunday raised about $12,000 for the telephone crisis support service.

Out of 20,000 fiction, children’s, self help, biographies, historical and other non-fiction books, between 3500 and 4000 books were sold over the two days.

It was the second Lifeline book fair to be held in Orange this year with the previous event raising about $21,000 in March.

Money raised will go towards training for Orange based Lifeline volunteers.

Phone Lifeline on 13 11 14.
