Though I'm immersed in greyhound racing and appalled by the Government’s ban – which has yet to be repealed – there is so much more to Mike Baird’s 'strongarm' rule of how we live in NSW.

What Mike Baird wants for NSW is overbearing and the people in the Orange electorate can send him a message at the ballot box on Saturday.
Just take a moment to consider Crown Land grabs, non-Coalition controlled merged councils, privatisation of hospitals, capital works contacts sent overseas, culling of brumbies, cutting death and disability insurance to our dedicated paramedics, selling off assets and, yes, the greyhound ban.
It’s time to send a message to Macquarie Street.
We’ve had enough and want to be heard – not ignored and dictated to.

LOCAL VOTE CAN HAVE STATEWIDE CONSEQUENCES
WE need to show the State Government how strongly all NSW feels about a potential loss of local communities if councils like Blayney and Cabonne are amalgamated with Orange.
I know they have tried representation and personal protestation about these plans and they have fought in Molong and other assembly halls, in the Sydney courts and even in the streets at rallies.
Thousands of fellow residents statewide have also shown their disgust with this policy.
Now Central West citizens have the chance to show the Coalition that what they propose for Cabonne and Blayney communities and Orange itself is just not a justifiable option.
The vote everywhere is to vote for anyone that opposes council amalgamations. Show those who support amalgamations that you won’t vote for them if they won’t support you.
I’m sure you don’t want a council controlled by the state government. It is your local community that you pay your rates to.
You want your opinions heard, you want locals as your councillors and you want your mayor to continue doing an excellent job, not an administrator ruling local government and reporting directly to Macquarie Street.
There’s a simple message. Send it at the polling booths.

ACCEPTING RESULTS JUST A PART OF DEMOCRACY
THERE has been huge change in the world this week, many are despairing and many are celebrating. In a democracy this is how things work, everyone has to accept the choice of the majority of voters in the United States.
Accepting the results is one thing, staying true to yourself is another. I happen to be a member of the Greens however I could be a member of any political party and my beliefs would not change.
It means I need to care more, understand more and try harder despite what is happening around me and I accept this challenge with open arms and hope many of you reading this feel the same.
We need to stick to our beliefs while being surrounded by so much hatred and rhetoric, it is the strongest weapon we have and we need to use it to make our world a kinder and more accepting place.
