AN Orange teenager has become the fifth person charged over the stabbing murder of a man at a home in Queensland.
Gary Ryan, 43, was found with critical stab wounds at a Mundubbera property west of Maryborough on August 23 this year and was rushed to hospital, but was unable to be saved.
On Wednesday, police charged Jessica Roebuck from Orange with Mr Ryan's murder.
Roebuck was arrested in Nanango by detectives from Maryborough Criminal Investigation Branch and State Homicide Investigation Group.
She made no application for bail when she appeared Kingaroy Magistrates Court on Thursday and will face court in Brisbane on November 7.
Roebuck is the fifth person to be charged over Mr Ryan's death, along with a woman 39, from Orange, Mark Stephen Crump, 35, also from Orange, Dubbo man Trevor Spencer, 70 and 63-year-old Queensland man Stephen Peter Crump.
Mark Stephen Crump was extradited to Queensland in late August to face his murder charge.
Maryborough Criminal Investigation Branch Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Briese said all five people facing charges were known to each other.
Det Snr Sgt Briese said the investigation had been difficult as there had been multiple crime scenes spread over multiple jurisdictions.
“There has actually been multiple scenes, we’ve had crime scenes in Mundubbera obviously, but also Chinchilla on the Gold Coast, Orange and Dubbo,” he said.
“So forensic officers have done an amazing job.”
