A great field headed out to Wentworth last Saturday to contest an individual stroke for the September’s monthly medal sponsored by Toyota Material Handling.

Jordan Clark continued his run of form with a 73 off the stick to claim A grade scratch, no doubt this form will come to an end once he plays against the pro again.
On the subject of good form, Steve Neal continues to go from strength to strength with a net 65 to claim A grade scratch and the monthly medal. Dave Grenfell was the handicap runner-up with 68 net.
In B grade Dave Harvey was the scratch best with 85. Phil Sturt claimed the handicap top spot with 70 net from Mick McGovern on 72 net.
Paul Thompson was out early to claim C grade scratch with 93. Dave Gunner with a net 73 edged out Jack Radnedge with 74 net to claim the handicap prizes.
On the day you needed net 73 points to win a ball. A birdie on a Par 3 won you three balls each while the Outback Vending long drives were won by Nathan Atkinson in A grade, Mick Staney in B grade and Steve Hare in C grade.
Last Sunday the men took on the women for the T and L Trophy, this event is traditionally sponsored by Peter and Joan Antrobus, who always add some extra prizes in what is generally a very competitive day.
Ros Fuller was the ladies winner with 36 points, while Dave Field won the men’s with 37 points. However once all the scores were tallied and averaged out the men, for the first time in a long time, took out the T and L trophy 28.57 to 25.81.
The Thursday stableford competition was played over the full 18 holes for the first time in a long time.
Jason Griffiths was victorious with 41 points to comfortably win over Harry Grant with 39 points. Butch Walker was third with 37 points. Nearest the pins on the day were won by Jeremy Tadman, Phil Selman, Gerard O’Neil and Steve Roach.
A final schedule for October through till December is now available from the pro shop. Feel free to drop in and pick one up.
The scheduled events for this weekend are an individual stroke in conjunction with the first round of the rescheduled fourball championships for the Neville Mills and Dave Wright trophies.
These events will be sponsored by Ashcrofts IGA and Whites Livestock Transport. On Sunday there will be a fourball stableford sponsored by Jill Bale from Wishing Well Home Loans.
The T.W Finley Shield matchplay final will be on Sunday with Warren Whalan and Brian Kellett up against Greg Martin and Will Currall. This will kick off at 8am.
The Wenty Super 6s is in full flight with the first three rounds of scores needing to be completed by Sunday, keep an eye out next week for results.
WENTWORTH LADIES
WEDNESDAY was the Margaret Floyd and Beryl Floyd sponsored two person Ambrose was held and there were some formidable partnerships on show.
The winners with a very good score of net 72 were Jan Moad and Glenda Hodge who combined well to play some consistent golf and secure a great win.
Runners-up by a smidgen were Helen Ross and Helen McDonell with a nett 72 ¼ .
This pair really played well and had a lot of fun in the process, well done.
Third place went to Susan Bell and Holly Innes with nett 72 ½, these ladies were visiting from Taree.
Nearest the pins went to Holly Innes (6th) Helen Ross (13th) while drive and pitch by Rhonda Zelukovic (9th) Joan Roberts (17th).
Magaret Floyd and Beryl Floyd’s daughter Lee Pickett were on hand to present the winners with the perpetual trophy and individual prizes.
During the week the final of the fourball matchplay championships were played where the team of Helen Ross and Lee Pickett defeated Anne Field and Leone Dalton in a really tight match 3 and 1.
This event has been delayed due to the heavy rains and we would like to thank Kerrie Rossetto who sponsored this event for her continued support and patience whilst we got a result.
Next week we will be playing our medal of medals sponsored by Hogan’s Pharmacy, good luck to the medal winners who are contesting this event.
COUNTRY CLUB LADIES
Last week the ladies played the ninth and final monthly medal for the year, sponsored by Tony and Lorie Leahey.
In total, 19 brave soles ventured out in the light rain, the weather clearing as the day went on.
We had our annual lady visitors play from Taree, who come down to participate in the Duntryleague Ladies Open tournament and always come and say hi.
Our monthly medal was won by Michelle Paul who shot a nice net 75 in wet conditions.
Katrina Ferris from Bathurst won the day with a net 76 on a countback from second place Ros Fuller.
A grade drive and pitch was won by Katrina Ferris and Katrina also won the overall nearest the pin on the eighth hole.
Trish Harvey won B grade drive and pitch.
The best putters on the day were Margot Sullivan with 30 putts on a countback, Ros Fuller with 36, Lorraine Yarryd (Taree) with 32.
Saturday will see the medal of medals played, this event is sponsored by GJ Seib Pty Ltd.
Good luck to Louise Iffland, Char Lee, Robyn Newey, Sally Heigh, Ros Fuller, Val Durack and Michelle Paul.

The Christmas Party is fast approaching, on November 12 at the Country Club at 5pm. The theme this year is the Rio Olympics.
All please bring an unwrapped $10 present this year for a fun new idea. Just place your gifts in the middle of the table you will be sitting at.
The match committee was also selected at a meeting last week along with our vice president.
Congrats to Leslie Wright who is our new VP and to Sally Heigh, Alison Seib, Margot Sullivan, Maureen Commins and Leslie for being on match for 2016-17.

COUNTRY CLUB MEN
Nadeem Ashraf continued his good form in winning the third round of Handiskins played last Saturday. Also played in conjunction was an individual stroke sponsored by Shuffleboard.
Greg Morton recorded a great score of 64 net win A grade, Ashraf again figured in the money taking out B grade with 67 net and Michael Thompson won C grade with 72 net.
Runners-up were Luke Pecoski in A grade with another good score of 65 net, Rob Mihailovic in B grade with 71 net and Gary James in C grade with 73 net on a countback.
The longest drives on the sixth hole were taken out by Jonathon Sangster in A grade, Brendan Breitnauer in B grade and Michael Thompson in C grade.
The drive and pitch on the third hole in A grade was won by Greg Morton, Ray Jones in B grade on the second hole and Darren Connick in C grade on the fifth hole.
Nearest the pin on the fourth hole was Tremayne Power in A grade, Jason Watmore in B grade and Murray Miller in C grade. On the eleventh hole Dave Chippendale was closest in A grade and B and C grades were not won. Mick Pickett won on the sixteenth and again B and C grades were not won.
Saturday is a stableford multiplier sponsored by Templers Mill and the fourth round of Handiskins.
The NAB Open men’s tournament is fast approaching taking place on November 12 and 13. Make sure you get your name in for your place in the field.
The Hahn SuperDry 3.5 Nines continues each Friday after last year's success of the social nine hole golf competition.
Also commencing Saturday is barefoot bowls burger and beer available from 12pm each Friday for only $19.
On Friday, November 18 is the inaugural Integral Scaffolding Charity Golf Day in support of Anson Street Special School. This will be a Four Person Ambrose.
The cost is $50 per player which includes food and drink vouchers.
There are many great prizes available including a hole in one prize of a Toyota Hilux SR5 courtesy of West Orange Motors.

DUNTRYLEAGUE MEN
Last Saturday’s event was an individual stableford which was contested by 98 players.
In A grade, the winner was Matt DeGraaf with 38 points followed by Peter Ferguson’s 35 points on a countback from David Neil’s 35.
B grade winner was Kevin Tandy with 41 points, followed by Aaron Wells’ 37 points and Bob Millikin’s 36 points.
In C grade, winner was Mark Hildebrandt with 36 points, followed by Bob Craig’s 34 points, and John Jani’s 33 points. Ball comp to 31.
Saturday’s event is an individual stableford, sponsored by John Davis Motors.
Monday’s seniors and Wednesday’s men’s individual stablefords was not contested due to the annual Duntryleague Ladies Open being held
