Ophir Road is once again open to traffic as the truck has been recovered.
TUESDAY, 11.50AM:
The truck involved in Tuesday morning’s accident is in the process of being recovered.
Ophir Road is expected to remain closed for another hour, according to police.
Approximately 100 sheep are believed to have been on the truck and 20 of those have died as a result of the accident.
TUESDAY, 10AM:
THE driver of the truck which crashed on Ophir Road on Tuesday morning has been removed from the vehicle and is being transported via road ambulance to Orange Health Service.
The road remains closed.
TUESDAY, 8.45AM:
EMERGENCY services have been called to Ophir Road near the fourth crossing where a truck has rolled over.
The truck is believed to have been carrying hundreds of sheep.
The road is closed to traffic.
