Canobolas Local Area Command’s crime manager Inspector Bruce Grassick said fraud was becoming more prevalent.
“We’ll be talking about the emerging trends plus ways and means to prevent people becoming a victim of fraud,” Inspector Grassick said.
“Fraud can impact everyone from elderly residents to multi-million dollar businesses.
“(Fraud) is becoming more sophisticated, a lot of them trawl and target through social media, email, mobile and landline phones and in person.”
He said the forums were about education and what information police need to target fraudsters.
