The Castle Hill Golf Club member sits in the box seat to take out the division three title when the second round of the open tees off on Tuesday having hit an impressive 95 off the stick.
A score of net 66 and 42 stableford points, Clark leads, at time of print on Monday, from Blakehurst’s Susan Leyshon and Duntryleague’s Dot Tandy.
Leyshon hit 100 off the stick while Tandy scored an impressive scratch score of 102 to sit within striking distance of the division three crown.
In division four, Tina Lane, from Everglades Country Club, hit 104 off the stick to lead her lower grade division at time of print.
Lane was ahead of Fay Briggs (Balgowlah) with 111 off the stick and Denise Fairfax, from Muirfield Village Golf Club, who shot 118 scratch and 76 net.
The second round of the tournament’s division three and four open races recommences on Tuesday morning.
The Duntryleague Open Ladies’ division one and division two title races kick-off on Wednesday, with the champions crowned on Thursday afternoon.
Duntryleague duo Susan Fenwick and Sandra Suhultz are favourites to add to their multiple title wins.
