Orange City and Centrals both got away with wins during the first round of the Orange District Cricket Association second grade Twenty20 matches of the season on Saturday.

Kinross batted first and were bowled out for 70 runs.
Not helping their cause, the students committed one of the cardinal sins of cricket, executing four run outs during the match, allowing City’s batsmen a relatively easy chase.
The Warriors line-up got their five wickets down.
Centrals took on CYMS Moroneys at Jack Brabham Oval with Centrals batting first and setting a target of 93.
The Centrals top order all contributed with the top five all getting over double figures. Ben Giumelli, was the pick of the bowlers for CYMS picking up an impressive 4-6 off four overs.
CYMS struggled in their innings, with no partnerships being established and only two batsman getting over 10.
Matthew Ripps (3-15) and Barney Davis (3-12) both took multiple wickets apiece, but it was the pressure building up of Nick McGrath, who produced an economical 0-7 off four overs, allowing Ripps and Davis to attack and take wickets and win by 28 runs.
Third grade and Centenary Cup had normal fixtures on Saturday.
In third grade, Kinross defeated CYMS Fahys in a nail-bitter by five runs. Mitchell Beasley starred in a losing side by taking 5-22 off seven overs.
Orange City defeated CYMS Bourkes by five wickets with Luke Schuyler just falling short of a half-century for CYMS, whacking his way to 46.
Wanderers had a comfortable victory over the Waratahs by eight wickets.
In Centenary Cup, Cavaliers defeated Orange City by six wickets with Jason Gangaran getting 40 runs out of the 60 total set by City.
KWS Young Guns got over CYMS by 67 runs, but not without some stiff resistance from the green and golds’ young opening bowlers, namely Harry Manuel who took 5-32 off his seven overs.
