Australia’s Wallaroos women’s rugby team learned just how tough Test match rugby can be when they were thrashed 67-3 by the New Zealand Black Ferns on Saturday.

The Wallaroos had 12 debutants, including former Kinross Wolaroi student Grace Hamilton, in the team, but they were completely overrun by the Kiwis.
It was an historic double-header as the curtain raiser to the Wallabies and All Blacks men’s clash that also was won well (37-10) by NZ.
Wallaroos head coach Paul Verrell said: “We improved significantly in the second half against New Zealand but we did not live up to our full potential throughout the whole match.”
NZ led 31-3 at half-time.
