EAST Orange Public School opened its doors to 5500 people on Sunday for its annual markets, which organisers hope could become a similar institution to Millthorpe Markets.

Parents and Carers Committee member and market manager Belinda Drane said more than 200 stallholders attended during picture perfect weather and she was confident the $20,000 target would be reached.
“This is our biggest fundraiser,” she said.
“We’ve got a pretty good reputation and people seem to love it – the stallholders had a great day and the feedback we had was fantastic.”
The money will go towards finishing off the school's play equipment, which will also benefit the school’s occupational therapy program.
Mrs Drane thanked the market’s 50 volunteers.
