The next generation of youngsters at Orange Anglican Grammar School will have access to state-of-the-art facilities after the new primary classroom block was officially opened today.
Speaking during a special ceremony, Senator for NSW Matt Thistlethwaite said it was a huge investment for better education in Orange.
“These are wonderful new learning resources for this school, a $1.4 million investment from the federal government in better education facilities for this generation and generations to come,” he said.
“These kids here today are the future of our country and these facilities will give them every opportunity to learn with the best possible facilities.”
Some features of the rooms include electronic smart boards, Wi-Fi connectivity and video conference facilities, as well as separate branch out rooms.
“These new facilities will open up many new learning opportunities for the students and I hope they get a lot out of them,” Mr Thistlethwaite said.
Another special guest at the opening was the Right Reverend Richard Hurford OAM.
He proved a huge hit with the students and was thrilled to be a part of the opening of Orange Anglican Grammer School’s new classrooms.
“It’s been very exciting in my years as bishop to watch Orange Anglican Grammar School take shape and to develop on this site and we owe an enormous thanks to both the city and community of Orange,” he said.
