Described as the pinnacle of motorsport in Australia, fans come together each year to watch The Great Race around the iconic Mount Panorama track.
They come with their mates, with their husbands and wives, they bring their children along for the ride. They come in cars, in vans, on buses and motorbikes. They make their way to the mount in anyway they can.
People pour into Bathurst.
For some, 2016 will be their first time, for others it will be their 50th, but one thing is for sure, they all come with special memories of the race.
Back in 2014 the Western Advocate catalogued some of the people who came to the Mount. This year we will do the same.
