Member for Calare Andrew Gee was joined by Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce to announce $395,000 for Cargo Road on Wednesday. The federal government’s black spot program support an overtaking lane. Mr Gee said the road from Canowindra to Cargo was hilly and slow-moving trucks delayed motorists. “Thankfully, as well as this new overtaking lane we are also delivering line marking, shoulder widening and signage improvements which will contribute to safe driving conditions on Cargo Road.”
