Orange ladies lead at home

HOME course knowledge is playing its part in the Duntryleague Ladies Open Tournament.

The division one and two ladies teed off in the annual event yesterday with Duntryleague players leading the way after the first round.

Susan Fenwick carded a nine-over 81 to lead the division one scratch standings yesterday.

Former Duntryleague member and previous open winner Sandra Schultz, who now plays at Oatlands, was four shots behind (85) in second.

Duntryleague’s Virginia Conran was on top in the division one handicap standings with her 67.

The 18-marker had a scratch score of 85 which she described as the best round she’s ever had.

Cromer’s Judy Manson was next best with her handicap score of 69.

In the division two scratch results, Pymble’s Gretel Sutton was leading the charge with her 91.

She edged out Cromer’s Jenny Wickens on a countback.

Sutton was also on top in the handicap standings with her 67 net.

Monavale’s Julie Alcock was next best with 69 net on a countback.

The second and final round in the divisions one and two tournament will be played today.
