The 2016-17 Orange Supertouch season kicks off next week and if you ask coordinator Mill Thompson, it’s shaping to be the biggest summer of the modified sport yet.

Hosted at Endeavour Oval, Supertouch is played over two 20-minute halves and boasts, essentially, all the same rules as normal touch football except for one crucial one.
You can kick late in a set, giving all the budding Jonathon Thurstons and Cooper Cronks in Orange a chance to show off one more weapon in their arsenal.
The competition has been a roaring success in its first few seasons and once again there is men’s and mixed competitions this summer, registrations are still open.
“It’s a great competition, a good way to get active and there’s a heavy focus on the social side of the sport, which is great,” Thompson said.
Thompson explained registrations will remain open until just before the first round, next Wednesday, October 5.
“It’s $90 per player and you need a minimum of 10 players per team,” Thompson said.
“People do need to register before the first round next week.”
Those interested can sign up by going online and heading to http://www.orangesupertouch.com/ and following the prompts to get registered.
“People can sign up there or head onto Facebook and search for Orange Supertouch and sign up through there as well,” Thompson said.
