Also known as Leonie Amone, the 55-year-old Anson Street resident was fined for stealing a $12 bottle of muscle and joint relax spray from a pharmacy in Orange.
Merchant was seen on CCTV footage removing the spray from a shelf in the first aid section of the pharmacy at 6.40pm on Wednesday, July 20.
She was seen placing the item in her handbag and then paying for a prescription but not the spray.
When police visited her house on Thursday, July 27 she denied any knowledge of taking the spray and the property was not recovered.
