Council holds extra meeting

ORANGE City Council will hold an extraordinary meeting on Thursday night to consider confidential items deferred on Tuesday night.

Due to a procedural oversight in the business paper agendas distributed in the public gallery, a tender for the construction of a community recycling centre at the Ophir Road Resource Recovery Centre, tourism strategy and service delivery, and multimedia for the Orange Regional Museum were deferred to be dealt with at 7pm on Thursday.

The matters are urgent in nature.

Council spokesman Nick Redmond said they were listed online prior to Tuesday’s meeting, but they should have also been in the printed papers.
