WARATAH FC gun Ryan Sinclair had one very succinct way to sum up his side’s 2-1 loss to Barnstoneworth in the one game that mattered in 2016.
Tahs went into the decider as heavy favourites, having only dropped one game all season, but let a 1-0 lead slip to go down in the grand final against a Max Drion inspired Barnies outfit.
“We probably didn’t play our best game, which was disappointing,” Sinclair said.
To be fair, Waratah FC didn’t have a lot of luck either.
“Craig Sugden hit the cross bar tow or three times and it just didn’t look to be our day,” he added.
“We should have put the game away early. We probably had three or four chances in the opening 30 minutes to score and we just didn’t capatilise.
“It’s back to the drawing board.”
