JACK Afamasaga – it’s the name on the lips of any Group 10 forward this season, with the former NRL gun enjoying his best season of bush footy in 2016.

Stop Jack, stop Mudgee?
Not quite, but CYMS enforcer Simon Osborne is chomping at the bit to give it a crack anyway.
“We talk about Jack a lot,” Osborne said at training on Tuesday night.
“He brings a good offload, bumps a few players, I think as long as we work together we’ll hold him up and stop the offload.”
The last time CYMS and Mudgee clashed in a grand final was at Wade Park in 2010.
That year, the green and golds prevailed in a 23-16 thriller on a wet afternoon, with Osborne playing the part of Afamasaga as the main man in the Dragons pack.
“My wife was talking about that the other day ... when I was with Mudgee we lost though,” the 36-year-old smiled, before looking ahead to Sunday’s clash.
“We’ve got the team to do it. I watched last week’s game against Panthers and Mudgee looked a bit flat. I think the week off will serve us well.
“I think our fitness will come over the top of them
“If we work together as a pack, as we’ve done all year, I think we’ll overcome them.”
If Osborne is right, then expect the likes of Brock McGarity to have a field day.
The classy outside back is enjoying a strong year out wide in his first season in green and gold.
McGarity came across from crosstown rivals Hawks, having lost the captain-coaching job leading into the 2016 season.
The former Australian schoolboys rugby union gun isn’t looking back though, preferring to lap up the week, his second grand final build up after appearing in blue during the 2013 decider.
I don’t think any grand final week changes much, hardest thing is keeping the excitement down.

“I haven’t enjoyed my footy this much since schoolboys,” McGarity said, overcoming a hamstring issue to play in this year’s big game.
“It’s a good bunch of fellas, and a good club.
“For me, it’s been a great decision coming over.”
Premier league kicks off at 2.30pm.
