He was even named man of the match in Albury’s 30-20 grand final victory over Gundagai in the second of the three titles in 2013.
But the powerhouse prop says he’s nervous ahead of Sunday’s Group 10 grand final against the Mudgee Dragons at Wade Park.
“I haven’t been that way in the past,” Davis smiled
“But I know when I get my first hit-up out of the way all the nerves will settle … I’ve been thinking about it lot.”
Amplifying that grand final day dreaming would have been last weekend’s memorable Group 11 triumph by Forbes.

A Red Bend junior, Davis is best mates with Magpies captain-coach Jake Grace and was at Caltex Park to witness the 26-22 victory, the club’s first since 1987.
“I had goose bumps. It was a great game and a great win by the boys, it pumped me up for it this weekend,” Davis said.

“It’s great for the town ... and Gracey, first year coaching, he’s my best mate. I remember hugging him after the game and he was that happy I nearly cried too. It was awesome.”
Sunday’s Group 10 grand final is at Wade Park, gates open at 8am.
