Cancer Council volunteers hope to raise more than $2.6 million across NSW to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the event.
Central West communications and events coordinator Brianna Carracher said this year’s theme was “for someone I know”.
“Daffodils are a symbol of hope and we’re hoping to find a cure,” Ms Carracher said.
“It’s a cause that’s close to most people’s hearts.”
Donations can be made online, by buying a daffodil pin at selected stores and stalls, by texting HOPE to 1999 8877 ($5 per SMS) to dedicate a virtual daffodil to someone you know or by buying fuel at Coles Express on the day.
