Not only are the Tigers hosting this year’s Group 10 junior league preliminary finals at Wade Park, the two blues’ juniors will be hoping the four sides still alive in the finals race qualify for this year’s grand final day, which will be in Mudgee the following weekend.
The Tigers’ under-10s will take on Mudgee Red in Saturday’s opening game, with the club’s under-12s, under-13s and, finally, under-16s taking on Bathurst St Pat's, Eglinton Eels and then St Pat’s respectively.
Bloomfield president Jason Greenhalgh was looking forward to the day, a massive one for the club.
“It’s a great thing to be able to host. To get everyone there at the one ground, and then to have a few teams to cheer for, it should be a good day,” Greenhalgh said.
“The under-12s were unbeaten until last week, so hopefully they can bounce back with a win on Saturday.”
Greenhalgh said the junior hosting rights were alternated between Bloomfield and Orange CYMS’ juniors each year, meaning the green and golds will, in 2017, host the Group 10 junior league grand final day.

“It goes around in a cycle and Mudgee has been added to the list as well, so it’s great when you get the chance to host,” he added, with Lithgow, Blayney and Bathurst also on the loop.
“Hopefully all four of our teams can do well.”
Kick-off for Saturday’s first game between the Tigers and Mudgee is at 9am.
The minor premiership winning under-12s will start at 10.50am against St Pat’s, while the under-13 Tigers begin immediately after at 11.45am against Eglinton.
The main game, the under-16 Bloomfield boys start their quest for a grand final berth when they take on St Pat’s at 3pm.
All games are at Wade Park this Saturday.
