Wow! Look at all of these amazing tributes Kerri. You would be so proud that we are all embracing this '21st Century learner' stuff! You were an amazing and supportive colleague, a magnificent, organised and dedicated educator and a loving and devoted wife and mother. You were such a kind-hearted friend and I could always count on you for 'mothering advice'. You always 'got the job done' and were a true inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing you. BPS will never be the same without you. We will never be the same without you. I still expect to walk in to a meeting and see your beaming smile and hear your infectious laugh around the school and I already miss our jokes about you "Kerr-I-rising" things (not terrorising). You were truly one of a kind and will be fondly remembered and forever loved and missed. RIP and shine brightly in the night sky my darling! Until we meet again <3 β Amanda
My heart goes out to the family of Kerri at this most difficult time. She was an amazing woman and will live on in people's hearts and minds forever. RIP β A loving friend
I find it difficult to express the sadness and disbelief when I heard of your passing. I saw first hand your devotion to your work and all your children that you have taught over the years. Spending time in your classroom doing home reading when my eldest started school in your kindy class, it was obvious teaching was your calling. You worked tirelessly to better the childrens' learning experience, evidenced by the heartfelt and beautiful tributes by all those that were lucky enough to have passed through your life. RIP Kerrie. Deepest sympathy and much love to all of your family and praying they will find some comfort knowing many are sending them prayers and love for the coming days. β Vaska, Philip, Angela, Catherine Nicholson
God bless Kerri her teaching skills will shine through many, may you rest in peace. β Trisha

We were all devastated to hear the terrible news on Sunday Night. Mrs Parkes will be very missed by Caitlin in the classroom as she always went out of her way to help her with any questions she had and was a great teacher. Mrs Parkes was very kind hearted & the girls told me if anyone was having a bad day she always managed to make them smile. Bletchington will miss the wonderful productions Mrs Parkes wrote & directed & all the hard work she put in to make it all happen. I know Hailey & Caitlin had the best time last year as they got to spend lots of time with Mrs Parkes learning lines & rehearsing & Bec also learning her class dance for the production. Most of all just having fun thanks to her time & effort. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to Mrs Parkes' family and the staff at Bletchington Public School. β The Prestwidges
So hard not to be moved by so many beautiful tributes. So many amazing qualities that made Mrs Parkes the incredible teacher that she was. If it was happening at Bletchington PS then you could bet your bottom dollar, Kerri was involved. To David, Aimee & Rachel, thank you for sharing your beautiful wife & mum with so many people. May these sincere & heartfelt messages give you some comfort as you deal with your immense loss. To Kerri's colleagues & students, may you always carry a little piece of Kerri magic with you & to Kerri, thank you for 10 wonderful years of education, opportunities & experiences that you afforded our girls during their time at Bletchington. Kerri you will be missed greatly by everyone you taught at Bletchlington and the school will never be the same without your smile around the school. You taught me so many life lessons that I've remembered to this day. I remember telling you I had pavlova for desert one night in kindergarten and you asked for a piece and I promised I'd give you one but after 8 years that you asked and I didn't give you that pavlova will be a deep regret and I'm going to miss you asking for that piece. I can't imagine the library with out you there smiling or asking me where your pavlova is or when we talked out the front of the school at the end of the day as I waited for the bus. I will never forget you and the way shaped me to be the person I am today. One of my first educators and might I add one of the best. Truly, I , and every single person you ever taught, would not be the person they are today without your kindness, encouragement and enthusiasm when teaching us. The amount of time, effort and care you put into your students will never be forgotten, along with the amount of organising you helped the school with. All of the primary productions, discos, debating, public speaking would not have happened without your hard work. Your passion and consideration, every little detail you put into your work really showed for itself, and is something we will all remember. My heart breaks every time I think about the incredible loss we have all suffered, and I can only hope that time will heal as you watch us all. RIP Kerri, you will be missed by all β€οΈ β Anonymous

Kerri was a wonderful, positive, thoughtful, inspiring colleague and friend who immersed herself tirelessly as a forward thinking educator. She was always striving to improve her own knowledge and passing it on to others. She has left a big void in the BPS community as she was the unsung hero that just magically did things. Fly high and shine brightly in the evening sky.πππ β Lindy

I worked with Kerri over a number of years when she was the school technology coordinator to help her give the kids at Bletchington access to great technology to help with their learning. She loved the old railway carriage full of computers but her pride and joy was the new library. She was always cheerful, practical and down to earth and willing to do what ever it took to help the kids. Her gentle harassment of the departmental bureacracy was always with the best intentions and delivered for her kids. A real gem and very sadly missed. β Stephen King
