SHE is the queen of the lanes and she will be in Orange tomorrow.
America’s Diandra Asbaty will join Orange’s Jason Belmonte for a coaching session and mini tournament at Orange Tenpin Bowling.
The duo are business partners in the International Art of Bowling, a company that specialises in coaching bowlers.
Those who have secured a spot in tomorrow’s event will be coached by Asbaty and Belmonte and some will get to play against them.
Asbaty and her family arrived in Australia on Thursday and Belmonte and his family have been showing them the sights of Orange.
The American bowler said she can’t wait to share her knowledge tomorrow with the participants.
“They can expect a light hearted, entertaining day where they can sharpen their bowling skills,” Asbaty said.
“We are really looking forward to it.”
Asbaty, who this year claimed the prestigious USBC Queens title, will be doing more than site-seeing while in Australia.
Next week she’ll compete in the Australian Masters in Sydney.
Her next major event is the team USA trials.
Tomorrow’s coaching event at Orange Tenpin Bowling will start at 9.30am and spectators are welcome.
Any junior league bowlers who would like to participate should call Orange Tenpin Bowling on 6362 5466 as soon as possible.
