Firstly the dates have been finalised for our Annual Club Championships, which are set down for Sunday, September 4 for Ladies and Men’s Singles and September 11 for the Ladies and Men’s Doubles.
The Mixed Doubles will be delayed until September 25 due to our Seniors Tournament, which was already scheduled for September 17 and 18 by Tennis Seniors NSW.
Tomorrow, a few of our Juniors will travel over to Grenfell to play in the Junior Development Series (JDS) Tournament.
It promises to be a great day of tennis and we would like to wish all our players all the very best on the court.
With the weather the way it’s been, we’ve been really relishing any fine day we can to squeeze in a game.
We had a pretty good attendance last Sunday for our regular mixed social, considering the chilly day, with three courts in use.
The winner of the Woodward Street Quality Meats voucher was a very happy Rick Taylor.
Mixed social will be on as usual on Saturday from 1.30pm onward with the forecast being for a sunny 11 degree day.
Newly elected committee person Kathy Penrose will be on duty to organise the sets.
A small group turned up for the regular ladies social on Thursday and there was eight die hards who braved the four degree temperature on Wednesday night for the winter warmers social.
Private Coaching continues to be held each afternoon after school and court hire to the public is always available by appointment, by phoning the clubhouse in Warrendine Street, on 63628020.
