Dr Parry is deputy headmaster of The King's School in Sydney and has qualifications from University of Cambridge and University of Sydney.
He said his philosophy and approach was driven by opportunities educators possess to inspire and empower students to discover and realise their full potential.
“I hope to make KWS a school that raises academic and co-curricular expectations of all students by ensuring they have opportunity to develop their talents in all areas enabling them to live fulfilling and flourishing lives,” Dr Parry said.
“I look forward very much to working closely with the staff of KWS to deliver students a ‘world class’ educational experience, one that prepares its students for life and deepens their understanding of their place in the world.”
Dr Parry will start in January and wants to build on the legacy created by current principal Brian Kennelly.
