Well-known printmaker Ron McBurnie held a two-day workshop for budding artists at Orange TAFE.
Mr McBurnie taught participants about a form of printmaking called intaglio which involves incising or etching an image into the surface of a plate.
Orange Regional Gallery assistant director Brenda Gray said she was “excited” to host Mr McBurnie.
"It was a good opportunity to experience a different technique which is being delivered by one of Australia’s leading printmakers” Ms Gray said.
Participants explored the medium through a variety of techniques including drypoint, etching, roulette and mezzotint.
The workshops ran in conjunction with the current Country and Western: Landscape Re-Imagined exhibition at the gallery.
Ron McBurnie’s work features alongside other esteemed artists including John Olsen, Rover Thomas and William Robinson.
