Lend Me a Tenor is the latest production from the Orange Theatre Company and the script could easily have been penned by one of the Marx Brothers.

Opening night will be Thursday July 28, with actors taking their cues from director Bruce Buchanan. Written by Ken Ludwig, Lend Me a Tenor focuses on the comedy of errors arising between the lead singer of an opera and his understudy.
Mr Buchanan said it had taken months of work to bring the show together.
“It’s two nights a week and a Sunday evening. It’s a huge committment,” he said.
The show will have a limited run, with only four shows, including the traditional Sunday matinee. Mr Buchanan said there was no-one in the theatre company doing one job, with the actors helping put together the stage on Sunday.
“We’ve had ab absolute ball and we’re hoping that will be clear to the audience,” he said.
Lend Me a Tenor begins on Thursday July 28 with a gala night and runs to July 31. Contact Orange Civic Theatre for tickets.
