In new Aboriginal-themed uniforms designed by former Bloomfield junior Hayden Gibbs-O’Neill, the team held its first Indigenous Round at Brendon Sturgeon Oval on Saturday.
Bloomfield Junior Rugby League Club secretary Tammy Greenhalgh said the event was run with help from the Aboriginal Land Council and the Aboriginal Medical Centre, which also advises players on how to manage injuries and nutrition.
