With thousands wandering in through the gates to cast their vote, the school’s P&C opened the Bookyard selling pre-loved books. With 350 boxes each with at least 20 books, there was not shortage of choice with everything from thrillers to theology and Roman history to romances. The funds go towards the school’s literacy program.
“It’s cheap, good quality books for the community and for people who are looking to read,” organsier Kim Broadfoot said.
“We’re hoping to get a boost from the election day traffic, it’s perfect timing and something different.”
