This is something that regional Australians do so very well.
Our own community in Orange continues to strive and support those who come to our city for cancer treatment.
This week Cancer Care Western NSW would like to thank everyone who continues to support our efforts of supporting regional patients who are undergoing treatment in our town and staying at our purpose-built accommodation Western Care Lodge.
To offer support we acknowledge the following upcoming events that will assist our efforts as a charity organisation.
Borrodell Vineyard will be hosting the 10th anniversary Black Tie and Gumboot Truffle Hunt Dinner on Saturday, July 16 following the annual and well-known truffle hunt.
During the night they will be conducting an auction of artwork by international exhibiting artist and award-winner Joy Engleman, a lunch-limousine-and-helicopter package, a case of museum stock wine and a premium black truffle found on the day of the annual truffle hunt. Orange Daybreak Rotary continue their support with a dinner on Friday, October 21, during Australian National Field Days week. The event will featuring world champion axeman David Foster. The dinner will be held at the Orange Ex-Services Club. Details are available from Joanne Mc Crae on 0427811490.
The event last year provided $20,000 towards Cancer Care Western and the support of clinical cancer trials actioned by our organisation.
To date our organisation has provided the building of Western Care Lodge to the amount of $5.4 million and have provided the vital support of the clinical cancer trials to the amount of $300,000.
This would not have been possible without the ongoing committed support from our regional communities.
