Camp Quality volunteers have kicked off this year’s fundraising efforts with a fundraising table at the Orange City Centre.
Volunteer Louise Eggleston said volunteers were grateful for the support shown by the community so far.
“We’re appreciative of the help the supporters have given us, particularly in the last five years,” Ms Eggleston said.
Tractor Trek coordinator Graeme Eggleston said donations made a world of difference for those living with cancer and their family members.
“If you’re approached by an entrant or tractor driver, please give a donation, even if it is small,” Mr Eggleston said.
“It all adds up and it helps families look towards a hopeful future.”
The Camp Quality Tractor Trek will be held on Friday, September 23 to Sunday, September 25.
Drivers will embark on a 300km trip over three days, making stops in Cowra, Billimari, Canowindra, Woodstock, Holmwood, Gooloogong, Grenfell and Greenethorpe.
There are currently more than 135 volunteers involved and more than 30 drivers fundraising for the trek.
Organisers are aiming to raise more than $240,000 to help support 155 children and 63 families living with cancer in the central west.
The funds will provide services such as recreational camps for children as well as fun therapists that will encourage the child throughout their treatment.
Camp Quality volunteers will be at the Orange City Centre on Saturday.
The fundraising drive will run in conjunction with the centre’s three-day mega sale.
