TWENTY-seven Cabonne businesses and community groups will be recognised for their business excellence when the annual Daroo Business Awards are announced next month.
Winners for the awards will be announced at a black-tie dinner in Manildra on Friday, November 2.
Judges praised the quality of the entries and were highly impressed with the standard of the finalists, which were selected from more than 80 entrants in 14 categories, ranging from excellence in retail to community contributions.
Finalists in the Employee of the Year and Apprentice/Trainee of the Year categories are still being judged and will be announced next week.
Cabonne mayor Ian Gosper said the strong support from businesses throughout the shire showed how highly prized the Daroo awards had become.
“The judging for the Daroos is always difficult because of the standard of the entries and I’m sure this year was no different,” Cr Gosper said.
