A woman had a lucky escape when her car hit a cow this morning.
A WOMAN was lucky to escape injury after the car she was driving hit a cow that had wandered onto the Mitchell Highway early this morning.
A heard of cows are believed to have made their way onto the road at around 2am blocking the road at Shadforth, near Lucknow.
While the 44-year-old woman was unhurt, the cow died at the scene.
Anyone with information about the animals' owners should contact police immediately.
