FIVE-year-old Madison Tudor is almost guaranteed a free swim at the indoor aquatic centre every day for the next year with her mother Renae Venner taking home the family season pass given away courtesy of the Central Western Daily and Orange City Council.
Ms Venner said she was ecstatic when she got the phone call to say she’d won the $1030 pass and will now have no excuse not to take Madison to the pool.
“I put in 10 entries but I didn’t really think I would win,” she said.
“All the guys at my work kept all the newspapers for me.
“That was a bonus.”
Madison has been swimming since she was six months old, but Ms Venner said having a facility available all-year round ensures kids won’t forget vital swimming skills over the winter months.
