A QUARTET of goals from Nick Bennett and a hat-trick - including a penalty - from Ryan Sinclair inspired their Waratahs FC A side to a 12-0 demolition job of CYMS Imagine8 in round seven of Orange District Football Association’s All Age A and B grade competition on Saturday.

Kiel Sinclair also grabbed a brace, while Mick Tierney and James Taylor scored one each and CYMS conceded an own goal in the win, which was FC’s sixth on the trot after losing their season opener to Barnestoneworth United.
They haven’t just won those games either, they’ve romped home in all six, their smallest winning margin so far has been five goals.
“To be fair, we have played quite a few of the B-grade sides so far this year,” Ryan Sinclair said.
“Not that that’s anything against them or the way they play, they’re all trying sides, it’s just some of the A-grade sides tend to outclass them a bit.
“We’ve got Waratahs City this weekend, we’re looking forward to that, it’ll be a real test I think.
“We’re playing pretty well, but I think we’ll struggle against some of the A-grade sides if we don’t pick up our intensity.
“We’ve been going through the motions a bit.”
CYMS - coming last in the B grade and overall standings - were forced to start the game with just 10 men, which Waratahs took full advantage of.
Once they scored their opener, the floodgates never closed.
“CYMS are one of those trying sides, they never gave up, they never laid down which is a positive thing,” Sinclair said.
“They had a few young blokes running around which helped them, and they did test us for some of the game, even if the scoreline doesn’t really reflect that.
“It was just a case of us outclassing them. We had a lot of opportunities to score and took plenty of them, the most pleasing thing was probably our defensive effort though.
“Our goalkeeper Clint Evans, I think he only had to touch the ball once in the whole game.
“But there are areas we can improve, as I said before.”
FC now sit second behind the unbeaten Barnies side who trounced Barbarians 12-2 on Saturday.
In the weekend’s other results Millthorpe beat Barnies’ B side 6-1, Waratahs Wolfpack scored their first win of the season by trumping Saints 5-4, KWS First XI won 2-1 over Waratahs FC B and Waratahs Old Boys thumped Waratahs City 6-0.
