Two Land Rovers, a Range Rover and a Jaguar - valued in the vicinity of $350,000 - were stolen from Dubbo Jaguar Land Rover on Wheelers Lane some time between 8pm and 11.55pm on Thursday night.
One of the vehicles was the subject of two separate police pursuits after they were stolen, while the Jaguar ended up crashing into a fence outside a West Dubbo school
With the dealership, which also houses Clancy Ford, being locked by gates after business hours police believe an element of planning went into the heist.
"We believe that some time between 8pm and 11.55pm someone has got into the dealership and removed several sets of keys," Orana Local Area Command duty officer Inspector Mitchell Croyston said.
"We're not in a position to comment much about any kind of motive but one would suggest there was some planning that went into the incident.
"After the vehicles were stolen there were two separate police pursuits involving one of the vehicles.
"All four vehicles have been recovered and are the subject of forensic testing.
"We have some lines of inquiry we are following, nobody is in custody at this time and we ask that anybody with information contact us to pass that on."
It is believed one of the lines of investigation will revolve around the collection of closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage as well as speaking with members of the public that may be able to provide some assistance.
Meanwhile,in a statement to the Daily Liberal, dealer principal Chris Gibson praised the work done by police in tracking down all four of the vehicles taken from the complex.
"Dubbo Jaguar Land Rover was informed of a break and enter at our brand new Jaguar Land Rover "Performance Gallery" at approximately 1:00am on Friday 29th April," the statement reads.
"Orana Police were quick to respond to the incident involving four new vehicles including a black Jaguar XF, a black Land Rover Discovery 4, a bronze Range Rover Evoque and a white Land Rover Discovery Sport.
"Due to an outstanding effort from the Orana Police all four vehicles were recovered during the early hours of the morning, all four vehicles have been significantly damaged and are awaiting insurance assessment.
