A CARGO man is dead and a 30-year-old woman and two of her children are in hospital after a head-on collision on the Cargo Road last night.
The 22-year-old Cargo-bound man died at the scene of the two-vehicle crash 25 kilometres west of Orange on Friday night.
Four ambulance crews, the police, and Fire and Rescue NSW were called to the scene at about 10:40pm.
The female driver of the other vehicle and her four children aged 12, four, two and nine weeks were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Orange Health Service.
Ambulance station officer Seth Lean said the woman had lower leg injuries and the children had no obvious injuries at the scene.
