One year on from opening and the Western Care Lodge is in desperate need of funds to complete stage two of the project.
The anniversary was marked by a $50,000 donation by the Cudal-Cargo and District Lions Club.
Western Care Lodge regional coordinator Jan Savage was emotional as she thanked the small community for their help.
"They hope that by donating this large amount that it will encourage larger towns to also donate again for stage two of the accommodation," she said.
