That’s the prospect in Saturday’s Orange District Cricket Association first grade match-ups, where Kinross (fourth), Centrals (fifth) and CYMS Moroneys (sixth) all sit in strong positions against CYMS (first), Cavaliers (second) and Orange City (third) respectively.
Should the three former sides claim win points it would mark the first time in recent memory the situation has occurred and would also seriously congest the table two rounds out from the finals.
Although, the first two of those matches remain in limbo, with both sides having legitimate arguments for favouritism.
On a slow KWS Main Oval wicket, Charles Litchfield (18 not out) and Peter Crisp (2 not out) have Kinross set for a tilt at CYMS’ total of 148, which the green and golds took 73.5 overs to compile such was the nature of the deck and the strength of the students’ attack.
Centrals on the other hand, sit at 1-43 chasing Cavaliers’ 226 at Country Club Oval.
The red and blacks looked set for a tough period batting at the end of the first day, losing Chris Hutchinson for a diamond duck.
However Dean Turner (29 not out) and Will Oldham (9 not out) steadied the ship and put their side in a strong position.
All three games resume at 1pm on Saturday.
